Payment transactions with foreign countries

Payments with foreign countries and in foreign currencies include:
- crossborder payments in EUR including member states of SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area)
- international payments.

The Decision on Payment Orders of the Croatian National Bank regulates the necessary basic elements and the manner of filling in payment orders within the Republic of Croatia. It was published on the CNB's website: https://www.hnb.hr/-/odluka-o-nalozima-za-placan-1.

Outflow – payments to foreign countries or in foreing currencies

Citizens
 
Citizens can make payments to the accounts of citizens and businesses abroad.
 
Businesses
 
Business entities can make payments to the accounts of citizens and business entities abroad. Business entities are obliged to keep the documentation, ie invoice, pro forma invoice, sales contract or other documents proving the basis of payment for at least 11 years and submit them to the Bank for the needs of control of the competent institutions. 

Inflow - charge from foreign countries

Citizens
 
Citizens can receive funds from abroad in HRK or foreign currency. Possible bases for payments in foreign currency within the Republic of Croatia are defined in detail by the Decision on Payment and Collection in Foreign Means of Payment in the Country of the Croatian National Bank (CNB) published on the CNB website: https://www.hnb.hr/-/odluka-o-placanju-i-naplati-u-stranim-sredstvima-placanja-u-zemlji.
When selling real estate located in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, citizens can only receive kuna.
 
Businesses
 
Business entities receive funds from abroad on the basis of exports of goods or services, loans, recapitalization, etc. Possible bases for payments in foreign currency within the Republic of Croatia are defined in detail by the Decision on Payment and Collection in Foreign Means of Payment in the Country of the Croatian National Bank (CNB) published on the CNB website: https://www.hnb.hr/-/odluka-o -nalozima-on-1-paid basis.
When selling real estate located in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, business entities can only receive kuna.

FEE
